Unbounce Smart Copy is an AI copywriting capability designed to help marketers improve landing-page content without leaving the Unbounce editing environment. Users can add an initial headline, paragraph, offer, or call to action to a page and ask the assistant to rewrite it, expand it into a more complete passage, or summarize it into shorter copy. The generated suggestions appear directly inside the builder, allowing users to compare alternatives and apply a preferred version to the page with one click.
The tool is particularly useful for moving from a rough draft to launch-ready landing-page copy. Its Rewrite function produces alternative messaging angles, Expand develops short ideas into fuller copy, and Summarize condenses lengthy sections for mobile layouts or limited design spaces. Each request can return several options, making it easier to produce variants for A/B testing without manually rewriting the entire page.
An important distinction is that the original standalone Smart Copy application was permanently discontinued on January 28, 2026. Its separate writing workspace, Chrome extension, long-form Writer, Remix functionality, and library of more than 45 templates are therefore no longer available as an active standalone service. Unbounce has retained AI copywriting support within its landing-page builder, where users can still rewrite, expand, summarize, and generate alternative page copy.
The current version is best understood as a focused landing-page editing feature rather than a broad, independent AI writing platform. It works alongside Unbounce’s drag-and-drop page builder, testing tools, and conversion features, allowing marketers to create page variants and refine messaging in context. Access requires an eligible Unbounce landing-page account, although the builder currently offers a 14-day trial.
