OwlyWriter AI is an AI-powered content creation tool built directly into Hootsuite’s social media management platform. It helps social media managers, marketers, agencies, and brands produce publishable content without leaving their planning and scheduling workflow. Hootsuite now positions the broader conversational assistant as OwlyGPT, while OwlyWriter continues to provide AI caption generation and enhancement capabilities inside the platform.

Users can provide a brief prompt and generate captions, complete social posts, content ideas, hashtags, images, and alternative versions for different networks. OwlyWriter can also transform a compatible webpage into a social media caption, prepare posts around upcoming holidays, repurpose successful content, and generate copy using established marketing frameworks such as AIDA. Existing captions can be corrected, shortened, expanded, made more actionable, or adjusted to use a different tone.

For paid social campaigns, the assistant can improve advertising copy and produce multiple variations for testing. Generated content can then move directly into Hootsuite’s Composer, calendar, approval workflows, publishing tools, and analytics environment. OwlyWriter does not publish automatically, so users can review, edit, and approve every result before it goes live.

OwlyGPT extends these capabilities by using connected brand information and real-time social conversations to identify trends, suggest relevant topics, summarize audience insights, create campaign concepts, and develop content calendars. It can adapt recommendations using previous social content, account information, performance data, and current discussions across social networks.
