LALAL.AI is an AI audio platform designed for musicians, producers, DJs, podcasters, video creators, audio engineers, and businesses that need to isolate or clean different elements of audio and video recordings. Originally developed as a vocal remover, the platform has expanded into a broader suite of AI-powered audio processing tools.
Its Stem Splitter can separate recordings into up to 10 types of stems, including vocals, instrumental, drums, bass, piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, synthesizer, strings, and wind instruments. Users can preview different neural networks and export processed audio in formats such as MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AAC, and AIFF. Supported uploads also include common video formats such as MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, and M4V.
LALAL.AI also provides Voice Cleaner for removing background noise, music, microphone rumble, and vocal plosives; Echo & Reverb Remover for reducing room sound; and Lead & Back Vocal Splitter, which can produce separate lead vocals, backing vocals, instrumental, and instrumental-with-backing-vocals stems.
Creative voice tools include Voice Changer, which modifies vocal tone and accent, and Voice Cloner, which creates personalized AI voice models from recordings for applications such as voiceovers, advertising, audiobooks, and creative audio projects.
LALAL.AI works through the web as well as desktop and mobile applications. Its desktop app supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, while mobile apps are available for iOS and Android. Pro subscribers can also use the Lyra model for local, offline processing, meaning compatible audio can be processed directly on the user's device without uploading files or consuming processing minutes.
Current plans include Starter, which is always free and provides 10 processing minutes for testing; Lite, priced at $9.99/month or $90/year ($7.50/month equivalent); and Pro, priced at $19.99/month or $180/year ($15/month equivalent). Lite includes unlimited Relaxed Queue processing plus 90 Fast Queue minutes per month, while Pro provides 250 Fast Queue minutes, a VST plugin, local Lyra processing, API access, and early access to new features. One-time Fast Queue top-ups are also available.
