HiClip
A tool that creates short, highlight clips from long-form videos.
HiClip is an AI-powered video clipping platform designed for content creators, YouTubers, podcasters, marketers, and businesses that want to turn long recordings into short social media videos. Instead of manually searching through lengthy footage, users can upload a video or paste a supported link, and HiClip automatically identifies interesting moments that can become standalone clips.
The platform uses context-aware AI analysis to detect engaging sections by examining visual changes, audio signals, and the topics discussed in a video. It can extract multiple highlights from one recording, helping creators reuse interviews, podcasts, tutorials, and other long-form content. HiClip promotes a workflow that can generate around ten short clips from a single source video, although actual results depend on the recording.
HiClip also automates several editing tasks, including adding subtitles, removing silent sections, and adjusting video framing. Its smart cropping feature converts horizontal videos into vertical formats while keeping important subjects visible. Users can prepare clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts without manually adjusting every video.
For importing and exporting content, HiClip supports MP4 and MOV files, along with YouTube and Vimeo links. The platform offers social media export presets and custom resolutions, making it easier to adapt the same recording to different publishing requirements. Its automated workflow is intended for users who need frequent short-form content without advanced video editing skills.
HiClip also highlights AI-generated captions, hashtag suggestions, and simplified YouTube-to-Reels repurposing. These features help users prepare social-ready clips more quickly. However, automatically selected moments and captions may still need manual review to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency with the creator's style.
HiClip advertises the ability to start generating free clips, but its public website does not clearly disclose a complete subscription comparison, recurring free allowances, or verified paid prices. Overall, HiClip is most useful for creators and marketing teams that regularly produce long videos and want a faster way to convert them into short, platform-ready content.
