Guru is an enterprise knowledge management and AI search platform designed to help organizations centralize, organize, verify, and distribute internal knowledge. It connects information from more than 100 workplace tools, databases, file systems, and knowledge sources into a unified knowledge layer that can be used by employees as well as external AI tools and agents.

A core part of the platform is Knowledge Agents. These configurable AI agents can search connected sources, answer questions in natural language, generate cited responses, run research, maintain documentation, and perform knowledge-related tasks on behalf of teams. Agents can be customized for departments such as HR, Sales, Support, Marketing, IT, and Product, with their own sources, prompts, access rules, and behaviors.

Guru goes beyond traditional enterprise search by actively improving company knowledge. It can detect duplicated or conflicting content, identify knowledge gaps, generate documentation from conversations and tickets, extract key information, archive outdated content, and automatically maintain knowledge using verification workflows and usage signals. Corrections can propagate across connected experiences so users and AI systems work from the same governed source.

Employees can access Guru through its web app, Slack, Microsoft Teams, browser extension, team hubs, and MCP-compatible AI tools. Its Deep Research mode can synthesize information from many internal sources into structured reports with citations, while Guided Conversations can lead users through step-by-step workflows. Guru can also take actions in connected applications on behalf of authenticated users.

For governance and security, Guru supports permission-aware access, role-based controls, SAML SSO, SCIM, DLP masking, audit logs, encryption, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and GxP support, and permission-aware answers with citations and lineage. Guru states that customer data is not used to train its AI models.

Guru no longer presents standard self-service pricing on its current pricing page. Pricing is customized according to organization size, knowledge complexity, AI maturity, governance requirements, and implementation needs, and includes platform access plus support from Guru’s AI and knowledge-management strategy team.
