Flowstep is an AI-powered product design platform created for designers, product managers, developers, founders, and teams that need to communicate interface ideas quickly. Users describe the screen or product experience they want in natural language, and Flowstep generates a polished, editable user interface on an infinite canvas. It can create an individual screen or generate up to six related screens from one prompt, making it useful for mapping complete workflows such as onboarding, authentication, dashboards, profiles, and checkout experiences.

Generated interfaces can be refined in two ways. Users can select and manually modify elements such as text, colors, spacing, positioning, and components, or request broader changes through conversational prompts. Flowstep can also generate alternative layouts and additional screens, helping teams explore different directions without rebuilding the project from the beginning.

The platform accepts supporting references to improve the output. Users can attach product requirement documents, upload inspirational images, or provide links that communicate the intended structure and visual direction. Teams can collaborate in real time, see each other’s cursors, keep changes synchronized, and share projects through a link that allows reviewers to view and comment without creating a Flowstep account.

For handoff, designs can be copied directly into Figma as editable content without installing a plugin or browser extension. Screens can also be exported as PNG or JPG files or converted into frontend code using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Flowstep’s MCP server connects the platform with compatible tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, and Claude Desktop, allowing developers to generate and manage interface designs from their coding environment.

Flowstep offers a limited free plan, while paid subscriptions provide higher message allowances, unlimited multi-screen generation, unlimited projects, exports, and Figma copying.
