Craft is a productivity and knowledge-management platform designed to bring notes, documents, tasks, structured information, and collaboration into one visually polished workspace. Users can capture quick ideas, develop them into rich documents, organize information through Spaces, folders, tags, and Collections, and share or publish finished work without moving between multiple applications.
Craft's AI Assistant is integrated directly into the writing environment. It can help draft and rewrite content, summarize information, translate text, answer questions, research topics, and work with information already stored inside a user's Craft workspace. Recent updates have made the Assistant more agentic: it can edit documents, create and organize content across a Space, and perform work in the background. It can also understand images and PDFs through OCR, allowing users to extract text, summarize PDFs, ask questions about documents, and retrieve important information.
A major part of Craft's newer AI strategy is interoperability. Craft supports API access and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling external AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to interact with Craft content. MCP v2 expands this integration with unified search, document styling controls, folder properties, and better understanding of Craft document links. Craft also supports Bring Your Own Key for OpenAI and Anthropic, alongside private on-device AI models for supported Apple devices.
Beyond AI, Craft combines document editing with task and project organization. Tasks can live directly inside documents, while daily notes provide a centralized place for plans and ideas. Calendar integration can place events and reminders alongside writing and tasks. Collections provide database-like organization for structured information such as projects, clients, inventories, reading lists, and other records.
Craft also emphasizes presentation and publishing. Documents can include styled layouts, embedded PDFs, videos, Figma files, images, toggles, dividers, and other rich content. Finished documents can be shared through live links, opened for comments, or published directly, making Craft useful for both private knowledge management and public-facing documentation.
Craft offers a Free plan with up to 1,500 content blocks, 1 GB of storage, and 15 AI Assistant credits. The Plus plan is listed at $8/month on monthly billing, with discounted annual pricing shown on Craft's pricing page, and includes unlimited content and storage plus 50 monthly AI credits. Family and Team plans are also available.
