Booke AI

Booke AI is an AI bookkeeping platform designed for businesses and accounting firms that already manage their books in QuickBooks Online or Xero. Instead of replacing the accounting system with a new ledger, Booke AI works directly inside the existing books and uses the bank feeds already connected there. The company says its AI Bookkeeper can automate up to 80% of manual bank-feed work.

The platform reviews bank-feed transactions daily, categorizes them using historical accounting patterns, matches payments with invoices, bills and receipts, and prepares transactions for reconciliation. When a transaction is unusual or the AI has low confidence, it sends the item for human review with a suggested treatment and explanation. Users can also create custom rules and thresholds, such as requiring supporting documents for transactions above a specified amount.

Booke AI also includes OCR for invoices, bills and receipts, automatic requests for missing documents, an Accounts Payable workflow, a Client Query Tool, inconsistency detection for month-end close, interactive reports, task management, an Activities Journal, and a Performance Dashboard. The platform can also transform client emails into bookkeeping tasks.

Each client receives an isolated AI Brain trained only on that client’s accounting history, approvals and corrections. Booke AI states that information is not shared between clients. Security measures include AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access controls, OAuth 2.0 integrations, optional MFA, GDPR compliance and annual security audits required by Intuit and Xero. Booke AI itself describes its security assurance as equivalent to direct SOC 2 certification rather than claiming its own direct SOC 2 certification.
